Our cats would like you to know this: bouncy balls are absolutely the best. This is objectively true and not to be disputed.
On the left is Sylvia as a kitten in April 2019 with an orange bouncy ball in her mouth, trotting towards me, tail raised high. On the right is Pippin in the same pose with the same bouncy ball. Both are black and white Norwegian Forest Cats. Sylvia has more white, and Pippin more black.
Also, it’s a good thing I picked up a second pack of bouncy balls before we brought Pippin home – two have already been lost between the balcony wood slats and concrete structure.

Pippin really does photograph with crazy eyes.
